Only in the U.S.?

I was half asleep on my way to the office this morning, and as usual, the radio serves the background. It's the usual nonsense chitchat from some overly pronouncing girl DJs (sorry, it's really overkill), but they caught my ear when they mentioned a bit of Hollywood gossip about the devilishly hot Megan Fox getting married in Hawaii sometime last week. Nope, I'm not surprised with the next Lara Croft marrying her long time boyfriend, Brian Austin Green. They've been together for so long, and his name is tattooed on her lower hip among many. What amazes me is that none of Fox's parents were invited, nor informed. Hmm.

I may have a love-hate relationship with my mom, and she's nothing short of a bipolar, but I don't think I can ever get married without her or at least get her blessing. I can deal with not having the whole family around since I'm thinking of getting married abroad (friends, I'm pro-divorce) or not marry at all, but not telling my parents about it? I'd be damned my whole life. Well, maybe I'm just too Pinay, or maybe, the DJ is right when she said "Only in the U.S."

It's finally Friday, the week flew so fast, but I'm still working tonight & tomorrow night because it's ZYNC's Bossy Boys' Nights. Gah. Wish us luck! Have a good weekend everyone!

Your NeuroChiq,
Dang

  1. My parents asked me for only one thing, too: To tell them to let them know when I am getting married cos I think they're scared of me doing a repeat of theirs when both of them just told their parents to be in this church at this time. As it is, they were getting married na pala.

    Happy Friday, BFF! :)
