When I was a kid, birthdays always mean receiving greetings, well wishes, money, and the more exciting one – gifts! My birthday falls during summer vacation, and I’ve always regret that, because there’s no way I can have a party in school. No fastfood spaghetti, burgers, sundaes, and a mascot to boot. And the best thing that comes with school parties? Gifts (again!). I don’t even care what I get, usable or not, and in most cases not, just the mere act of tearing the wrapper in haste is already exciting if not therapeutic to my young heart. Silver belle I am come the 25 th of April, and while receiving gifts will forever be nice, I’ve heard and proven, in so many chances, that giving by far feels a lot better. This website is entertaining me much recently. Just this morning, I found out that Drew Barrymore's character Lucy , in one of my favorite films (which also happened to be the me and Sweetie's first date, damn, that long ago?) 50 First Dates , is actually a real person! And with the perfect, super loving husband, too! I honestly thought no such man walk the planet. Sue me. Every day, Michelle Philpots wakes up next to a man who has to convince her they are married. When she expresses doubt, he takes out a photo album and shows her pictures of their wedding 13 years ago. Only then does amnesiac Mrs Philpots accept she is talking to her husband, Ian, and that everything he has told her is true. The 47-year-old's condition was caused by brain injuries sustained in two road accidents. She can recall everything up to 1994 but since then everything that happens on one day is forgotten the next. Aren't we always falling for classy, beautiful things? Oftentimes, fatal attraction starts with the packaging. When my friend Andrea from Prestige (hello, Andi!) asked me to try out Reb'l Fleur (Rebel Flower) by Rihanna , my first thought was "They (celebrities) launch prefumes left and right." But upon receiving the testers, I was magically drawn to its unique, fierce design which was i nspired by the shape of a stiletto heel.
